Part of our new play development process is to have one or more rehearsed readings at draft stage. To date we have had one rehearsed reading of the first draft of 'Beautiful' for an invited audience including Susie Orbach.
As a result of the discussion and feedback that followed the reading, Rachel is currently writing a new draft, alongside working on 'Birdsong' and and another commission.
Because of the number of people who are interested in hearing the play as it develops, we have decided to hold a second rehearsed reading on June 21st . We are planning to have two readings , one in the afternoon and one in the evening.
